French soprano Marie-Audrey Schatz began her musical studies at her home conservatory in Strasbourg and went on to study with professor Ute Trekel-Burckhardt at the University of the Arts in Berlin. She finished her studies with a Bachelor of Arts in 2017.
Today she is coached by Professor Christiane Hossfeld in Dresden.

Marie-Audrey Schatz has been seen on a variety of stages in a wide range of productions, from classic opera and operetta to contemporary opera.

She appeared as Klärchen Hinzelmann in an adaptation of Ralph Benatzkys operetta Im weißen Rössl by Hans Müller and Erik Charell. This operetta toured for three years, from 2017 to 2019 through Germany and Switzerland, with the Konzertdirektion Landgraf.

In 2019, she made her debut as Micaela in Bizet’s Carmen at the Opera Festival Glatt under the direction of Lars Franke.

In the same year, Marie-Audrey Schatz made her debut as "Donna" in a new and modern production of W. A. Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Opernloft in Hamburg.
"Elvira (Soprano), sung by Marie-Audrey Schatz, had perhaps the most difficult part of the evening. Her clear voice, very understandable, showed her intense jealousy, tension and frustration towards Giovanni. At times employing forceful text delivery, following the emotions, she rose to the challenge and mastered her arias perfectly, very much to the pleasure of the audience”, wrote Das Opernmagazin.

In 2020 in Cologne, she sang the role of Tochter in the world premiere of ELEONORE- Ich muss nicht glücklich sein by Gordon Kampe, Oxana Omelchuk and Vincent von Schlippenbach. The production of this new opera was directed by Frauke Meyer and the ensemble MAM. Manufaktur für aktuelle Musik conducted by Susanne Blumenthal.

In September 2021, Marie-Audrey Schatz sang at the Music Festival Bern the part of Mistress of song in the world premiere of Ich schwärme für Dich by Oxana Omelchuk, Marina Sobyanina and Matthew Welch.  Compositions specially made for this ensemble, one soprano and the Ensemble Proton together with jazz band Le Rex.

In November 2021, she sang the Soprano part in the world premiere of Zweig und Eselin by Bojan Vuletic in the Düsseldorf Tonhalle. This piece should have been opening the International Festival Jaffa Fest in Tel Aviv but was unfortunately canceled due to the pandemic.

She sang the role of Girl in the short-opera Trouble in Tahiti by Leonard Bernstein at Landesbühnen Sachsen in 2022. A production by Sebastian Ritschel.
Marie-Audrey Schatz sang at Landesbühnen Sachsen the role of Kriemhild in Oscar Straus Die lustigen Nibelungen  in a new production by Simon Eichenberger.

In summer 2022, she sang the role of Beauty in Händels oratorio The Triumph of Time and Truth at the Opera Festival Oper Oder Spree. This production was directed by Lars Franke and conducted by Bettina Rohrbeck.
"And at the end, when Marie-Audrey Schatz (Beauty) indeed  renounces the earthly pleasures and almost in a whisper, with the most delicate piano tones, commits herself to the truth and the virtue, it is as quit as a mouse in the monastery yard.  Finally it is not Time and Truth that triumph, but Beauty - especially the beauty of the voices.", wrote The Märkische Oderzeitung, moz.de

In season 22/23, Marie-Audrey Schatz took part in a few productions at Landesbühnen Sachsen. She made her successful debut as Donna Elvira in a new production of Mozarts Don Giovanni under the direction of opera director Kai-Anne Schuhmacher and conducted by Ekkerhard Klemm.
